Where is the venue? Is there parking?

Answer

The Thompson Barn is located at 11184 Lackman Road Lenexa, Kansas 66219 The Ceremony and Reception is at the same venue! There is plenty of free parking in front and back of the venue.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are casual people, the dress code is casual. Our short ceremony will be outdoors unless we have extreme weather, so please dress accordingly.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We're lucky to already have a home full of almost everything we need, but do have a small Target wedding registry for those that wish to gift us something. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Our ceremony is completely unplugged, so we ask our guests to respect our request and be present with us during that time. Please be respectful of our professional photographers and videographers that we have hired and their images and videos will be shared as soon as we get the final edits back. If you take photos at the reception, please use the hashtag #schmidthappens so we can keep track of all the photos!

What kind of food will we have for dinner?

Answer

Our caterer is amazing and we have a BBQ menu set up. Full details to come soon! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. Last minute accommodations may not be met.

What's for dessert?

Answer

We will have a beautiful three tier cake and several smaller cakes! Our dessert table will include a variety of flavors for everyone.

What drinks will you have?

Answer

We will have water, Diet Coke, Coke, Sprite and more. We will be doing a A&W Rootbeer float toast after dinner.

Will we have to wait hours between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

No! After our ceremony, Jacob and I will head to take sunset photos for about 20 minutes. We will be introduced into the reception once everyone is seated!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

All RSVP's are due September 24, 2022. If we have not heard from you by this date, you will be marked as declined. RSVP online through our wedding website - zola.com/wedding/sessinschmidt

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd and can no longer make the wedding, please personally reach out to either of us as soon as you know.

Do we have to go to the photo booth?

Answer

We won't be able to get a picture with everyone, so we ask our guests to head to the photo booth and get a few photos taken. We will make a book of all the photos so we can look back on all the memories and remember who was at our wedding!

What is the weather like in Lenexa, Kansas in November?

Answer

That is the ultimate question! Kansas weather changes dramatically. Please keep an eye out during the week of the wedding and dress accordingly. I cannot possibly reach out to each person individually during the week of our wedding so please check on the weather in Lenexa, Kansas.
