Shannon was pursuing a nursing degree at SCSU and working part time at the university help desk. Mike had just returned home from Beaufort, SC after finishing his career in the Marine Corps and began working in the IT department after he enrolled at SCSU. Mike always says that as soon as he saw Shannon sitting behind the desk that he was going to marry that girl. After a year of shy smiles, casual conversation, and bumping into each other around the university, Mike decided to ask Shannon to dinner one night. Since then the couple has been exploring the east coast, creating a home in Branford, and building friendships and bringing families together. They find joy in spending time with their dog (Cooper), gardening and doing projects around the house, having cookouts and family dinners, attending local events, relaxing by the water or in nature, and going to church and serving together. They owe all of their blessings and give gratitude and thanks to God, for it was through his grace that they found each other. This wedding symbolizes the commitment they have to each other and represents who they are as a couple. They want it to be a day of love and unity, but also a fun and memorable occasion to share with those who have loved and supported them along the way.
