Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors will open at 6pm and the ceremony will start at 6:15. Please plan accordingly.

Question

Which entrance should we use when we arrive at the Art Institute?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be held in the modern wing, which can be entered at 159 East Monroe Street. You won’t be able to enter from the Michigan Ave entrance.

Will there be a dress code?

Answer

We’d love everyone to dress up with us, so we’re requesting our guests to dress formally. We’d like to see formal suits, evening gowns, or dressy jumpsuits.

I’m planning on driving to the wedding, where can I park?

Answer

Complimentary valet parking in front of the Modern Wing entrance will be provided for our guests. If you would prefer to not use the valet services though, Millennium Park Parking Garage is the closest option available. Visit the Art Institute of Chicago website for more information and directions https://www.artic.edu/visit/directions-parking. Additionally, the Palmer House Hotel has public parking next door at 55 E Monroe.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors?

Answer

If weather permits, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in Pritzker Garden. If there is rain though, we will move the ceremony indoors. The reception will be held inside Griffin Court.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Our caterer is accommodating for all dietary restrictions. When you RSVP, you’ll have the option to list your food allergies and/or dietary restrictions.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have hotel blocks at a few hotels close to the Art Institute. Please see the travel section of our website for our recommendations.
