We met officially in Alegbra II our junior year! We both were seated next to each other and shared a few conversations here and there. Our friends were in similar crowds since the beginning of high school. After junior year, we both parted ways and schools. Then, it gets funny. We BOTH work at Target temporarily at the same exact time. Seconds before starting my first day, I asked God to help ease my nerves as I am not the most extroverted person. All of a sudden as I am walking to clock in Jordyn is down the aisle. We stare at each other and say "Serina?" "Jordyn??" At the time, I didn't know that running into him took away my nerves! This is definitely a case of "you were always there for me not even knowing we were destined to be together! Shortly after Jordyn had left the job and I had stayed temporarily. As God began to write my story and Jordyn's separately, I never knew how close my husband really was to me all along. In October of 2019, I was in a car accident which I miraculously survived, and I went through a period of feeling alone. A couple months after getting out of the hospitals, a friend of mine had a party. I was again, nervous to be around people as I still was recovering and getting used to not wearing a neck brace. I had a drink and looked around the room for a friend to dance or talk to. I ran into Jordyn at the party and began to talk to him! After the party we parted ways again. There were a couple more events that we had seen each other at, but when it finally clicked to us that we needed to exchange contact and keep in contact...... was when we went to celebrate a friend and her birthday. Before arriving, we both had hoped to see each other (without telling each other). As soon as I got there, I ran to Jordyn as he was someone I always felt safe speaking to anywhere I'd go whether it was a new years eve party or my first day at my first job! I began to tell him about my life updates, that I was single and only wanting to speak to JESUS, and the night went well. We began to talk to each other more and more, as I started to find myself asking him to come door dash with me while I listened to a lecture for one of my classes in college! No matter what I did, I wanted Jordyn by my side. Our friendship grew and grew so much that we became best friends. Of course we got them feelings too, so Jordyn courted me and asked my father permission to take me on a date. That was the "seal the deal" fa me! All my life growing up, I wanted to marry someone that I can worship God with, someone I can pray and fast with, someone who emulates Christ's love in all of their actions, someone I can laugh and cry with, and someone who never once made me question how valuable I am and Jordyn is everything I prayed for times infinity! I mean cmon, God is taking the Brown in my life and giving me Flowers. It DOES NOT GET better than that. And Jordyn and I will always give God the glory for the beautiful love story that is ours and we could not be happier celebrating with all of you. -The Bride
