My cousin but we call each other sisters in Chinese. She even saw a picture of me as a child at my parents' house and thought it was her. Grateful that I got to grow up with a little annoying (jk) sidekick; however, she’s more mature than I was at her age. I can always count on her to give honest feedback and comfort.

My oldest brother. Danny has always been there for me for whatever I need; be it counsel or consoling. Danny has been my number one Lego building partner and Pokemon trading pal. He also took our engagement photos and went all out to capture the proposal under cover!

My childhood twin sister. The universe blessed me with Laura in 2008 when we became friends during 5th grade. We were chatty and chaotic goofballs that had code words for everything. Despite the long distance friendship, I know she always has my back.

Serina’s brother. Justin may be quiet, but watch out. He will always find a way to make you laugh with his clever, scathing comedy. Justin is my go-to for all things tech and he rivals me with his ability to make fun of Serina. One of my favorite people to lose to at video games.

Joe’s sister and my future sister-in-law. She has a heart of gold and can do anything she sets her mind to. From running marathons to traveling and helping others she is truly someone I admire. I’m grateful that she provides a sense of calm in the midst of the Hartmann boys.

My brother-in-law. Conor has a kind heart and was always patient with Laura’s nagging youngest brother. He is known for his scone-making prowess. We immediately bonded over soccer, and Conor does a decent job keeping up with the Hartmann house humor.

My future sister-in-law. A dedicated Disney die-hard who knows how to get things done. Beth is such a caring and supportive person. She always puts others above herself and is also someone I look up to. I know I can count on Beth for great desserts, cute dog outfits, and a helping hand.

My childhood best friend. Ryan was my constant companion as we navigated elementary through high school together. We spent many summers playing tennis and swimming. Together, we’ve switched out New Berlin for Madison and tennis for pickleball.

My college multicultural sorority twin sister. She has been a constant support system since we became closer. One of the kindest souls I have ever met. She knows how to have fun in a unicorn costume, iykyk. From traveling to eating good, there’s never a dull moment.

My college roommate. As soon as I met Quinn in middle school, I knew we would be friends. And when we found out we were both attending UW, we were locked in as roommates. Quinn has an old soul and always had my back as we adjusted to college together.
