There are many ways of getting to Cartagena. Air Canada has direct flights from Toronto, and there are also a number of connections that can get you there as well. The airport name is Rafael Núñez International Airport. We recommend not waiting too long to book flights! Important details about travelling to Colombia below: > Canadian and American citizens DO NOT require visas to go to Colombia. > There are no mandatory vaccines needed to go to Colombia, but the Government of Canada recommends speaking to your health care professional about which vaccines are recommended and are best for you. > Please make sure your passports are up to date and are not going to expire anytime soon. > Cartagena is a tropical city with hot and humid with average temperatures of 30 degrees celsius, so make sure to pack accordingly.

PICK UP LOCATION: TEATRO HEREDIA - IN THE WALLED CITY - SHUTTLE LEAVES AT 4PM We will be renting out a shuttle service the day of the wedding that will be transporting those guests that won't be staying at the Conrad hotel to the wedding and back. That way we can all party until very late and no one has to worry about transportation back to Cartagena! We will be updating times and schedules for the shuttle when we get closer to the big day.

Conrad Cartagena

The Conrad Cartagena is a beautiful hotel around 25 minutes away from the historical city of Cartagena. The hotel has provided discount rates for the wedding guests. Please contact Sara who is our wedding planner to book the hotel in order to get the discount. Her email is lotuseventosctg@gmail.com. Discounted prices are around $250 CAD per room per night for two people. Two more people can be added to the room for an extra $80 CAD per person per night. A maximum of 4 people can stay in a room. Guests who are younger than 18 years of age don't have to pay. The prices include free breakfast. The hotel has lots of pools, a private beach, and access to a beautiful golf course. We understand that not everyone will be staying at the hotel as there are better deals for large groups through Airbnb. Please check out the Renting AirBnbs section for recommendations of cool neighbourhoods to book. Maria and Sergio are planning on staying at the hotel from Feb 18 to Feb 24.

Renting Airbnbs

For those of you who would rather stay closer to the city center and either rent a hotel room or an apartment for a large group, we recommend looking in the following neighbourhoods. Morros, Ciudad Vieja, Boca Grande, and Getsemani are very central and have lots of restaurants and bars around. Don't worry about transportation to and from the wedding on February 20th, we will be updating the schedule for the shuttle closer to the big day so please stay tuned. The welcome dinner will be hosted at the "Centro de Convenciones" which is a short cab ride from any of the neighbourhoods mentioned above. Maria and Sergio are planning on renting an Airbnb from Feb 12 to Feb 18!
