Two months after we started dating in 2017 we flew to Canada for a cross-country road trip. During one LONG driving stretch (13 hours) the radio stopped working and we didn’t have service. We talked, laughed, hummed, and drove in silence. The point here is it was our first trip alone and we really clicked. We were in a very foreign place but felt at home. We say this is when we realized this could be a forever thing. A few years later we moved to San Francisco, California – a dream we both had before dating so we decided to do it together. We didn’t have friends or family in CA and moving from NYC to SF was a big deal. During our time out west, we embarked on road trips all over the coast of California. Just like in Canada, we would often lose service on the Pacific Coast Highway. It was in these pure and simple moments we were reminded again why we wanted to get married. No matter where we went, we had each other. We didn’t need to talk, we didn’t need anything at all. We still don't as long as we're together.
