Sergio and I met by chance in May of this year. He was at his work and I was running errands with a friend. That friend wanted to stop in this shop, and Sergio was at the front desk. We didn't interact until nearly the end of the conversation, but once we locked eyes, we recognized interest. He asked for my name and later found me online and asked me on our first date :) Funnily enough, I had started taking Portuguese lessons just 2 days before we met, and it's become a wonderful benefit to our relationship. I had a lifelong goal to learn, and now I've got a lifelong teacher. After date #1, we quickly became inseparable; endlessly curious about one another, and genuinely invested in developing a loving relationship between us. As we began dating, we joked about getting married and how it would look, until one day, we looked at each other and felt that it was actually right for us. We started to look at our timelines, and I just so happened to be ending my lease, so we set up our cute courthouse marriage here in San Diego, and planned for my move-in with my sweet kitty Link. My dad came down for the courthouse date of our union, and it was a beautifully simple day. It's now been nearly a month since our wedding, and we're even more excited for our life to come. We are currently going through an integration process of paperwork for him to become a US Resident, moving houses, and making plans for a trip to Brazil for our honeymoon and to celebrate with his family. This registry is set up to those of you who might want to support us in our new life together. Overall, we feel incredibly blessed and grateful to all our friends and family who are excited and supportive of us in every way. :) PS: we are planning two celebrations in 2026 in both the US and in Brazil!!
