We met as bartenders at VIP Country Club. Luckily, Sergio had to train me, and we quickly became friends after working entire weekends together. I was pretty oblivious to my growing feelings for Sergio (naturally, he was smitten since the moment we met), but as the weeks passed by, we worked less and less parties with each other and I became increasingly disappointed that I wasn't assigned to work with him. After two months, I finally bit the bullet and told Sergio I wanted him to have my number. I saved my number under "Queen of My World" and told him to text me - it took him 5 days to find my number, but we eventually started to talk every single day. Thankfully, we haven't stopped talking since.
I did not keep it a secret that I wanted Sergio to propose, so it was even more impressive that Sergio managed to surprise me the night of. We had a long weekend planned with friends and family, so when Sergio suggested we went out to dinner just to have some quality "us" time before meeting with my family, I truly thought nothing of it. We went to a small neighborhood restaurant overlooking our favorite place, Harbor Island Park (where I even had the thought: "he totally wouldn't propose tonight"). After dinner it was only fitting we went for a walk, stopping in our favorite picnic spot, where Sergio got down on one knee.
