Yes, there is a free parking lot at the venue. There's no public transportation in the area so you will need to find a ride here!
The wedding is in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico at Hacienda Siesta Alegre on January 23rd, 2022.
We're assuming that COVID would have been reduced to a point we can return to a normal life by January. We both want to provide a safe environment for our friends and family, and will provide an update as we get closer to the date.
That's a personal decision for you based on how many vacation days you want to take, what your schedule looks like, and if you are interested in spending a couple of extra days in PR. My personal recommendation would be the following: Shortest possible trip - Fly out Friday night, hang out in San Juan on Saturday, wedding on Sunday, fly out Monday afternoon/evening. if you have more time - Amanda and I would like to plan some activities for at least the following day (Monday), likely a BBQ or beach day. We'd recommend at minimum staying until Tuesday or Wednesday to explore the island a bit!
Yes! Here are our top 3 recommendations! 1. El Yunque Rainforest - for our outdoor friends, this is perfect. Lush, green rainforest with a waterfall! There's a waterfall that's about a 30 minute - 1 hour hike, which would be a fun quick activity. 2. Old San Juan - if you're looking for the Caribbean Island atmosphere this is where you want to be. Check out the street vendors selling piraguas, walk around some cobblestone streets or check out an awesome fort (El Morro). There's a lot of shopping here too if you're into that. 3. Beaches/Beach Islands - Vieques and Culebra are 2 very popular islands with some incredible beaches. We'd like to plan a casual trip there with all our guests the day after the wedding - this is definitely worth checking out.
We need you to RSVP to give you a good answer! However, please reach out to us and we'll give you as much information as we have.
