WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Dylan and Serena met in college and were assigned as science partners in September of 2018. They did homework together and quickly became the best of friends. Then met each other’s families and friends, and spent lots of time driving from Northwest Reno to Carson City. Becoming tired of the drive in August of 2019, Serena moved to Carson City and in with Dylan and his two best buddies (Gage and Andrew). Shortly after, they welcomed home their first fur baby, Oliver James (Ollie J.). Dylan and Serena took Ollie everywhere with them- walking Tahoe East Shore Trail, camping at Stampede and many family dinners at the Ozaki, Sawyers, and Altringer homes. Dylan said “I love you” first on August 24, 2019, and the couple still celebrates that day. In April of 2022, Dylan and Serena brought home their second pup, Archie (Archiekins). He created an entirely different dynamic in their home. He grew and grew and seems to never stop growing... Archie is almost five feet tall standing on his back legs. 2023 was a big year of change and growth for Dylan and Serena. Dylan was hired on with Truckee Meadows Fire District and went through the fire academy while Serena started working remotely from home. These new jobs changed their lives. Dylan and Serena get to spend a lot of time together. Dylan works for 48 hours and gets to be home for 4 days. When he is off and Serena is working from home, he loves to make her lunch (isn’t he the sweetest!?). After years of date nights, trips, family dinners, career changes, and house parties, Dylan proposed on May 26, 2024 in Somerset, CA. Serena thought she had it all planned out and invited her sister, Sidney, and father, Ronn, to a private pairing at a winery the couple loves. Little did she know, a month earlier Dylan had asked Ronn for his blessing, talked to Serena’s sisters for ring advice and took his best friend to buy her a ring. He proposed right when they arrived and they got to celebrate their engagement the entire weekend. “Every time we went to a different place, he had something so special waiting for us. Our families and everyone at the wineries were so sweet in helping us celebrate. Dylan gave me the proposal of my dreams.” - Serena Since the proposal, the couple has been on cloud 9. They are so fortunate and grateful for all of the support, love, and celebration their love has been gifted.
