Chris and Serena were put in a work group chat together. Serena looked at Chris’s profile picture and thought Chris was very handsome and asked their mutual friends to introduce them to each other. Our friends put together a group dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Ogden, Utah. The next weekend was Halloween and Serena dressed as Vector from Despicable Me, little did she know, Despicable Me was Chris's favorite movie, it was love at first sight, they hit it off immediately, and the rest is history!

Chris bought tickets to a candlelight string quartet and planned a romantic date night. We dressed up and drove to Point Lobos in Monterey, CA to watch the sunset on the beach. When we got to Point Lobos we walked around the trail. An older lady stopped to tell us how beautiful/handsome we looked and what a romantic evening we must be having - Chris was nervous she would suggest a proposal and give his plan away. As we continued on the path, Chris walked Serena down a smaller trail with the most magical view: Bright blue ocean water seated at the foot of a rocky cliff, seagulls soared through the sky, and sea lions played in the waves. We stood there for a moment, then, and a husband and wife came walking up behind us. Chris asked the woman to take a picture of us. The woman took the picture while Chris dropped to his knee, pulled out a beautiful diamond ring, and asked Serena to marry him. Serena squealed with excitement, she was in awe of the diamond’s sparkle said “yes”. The woman who took the picture was our professional photographer. Chris had coordinated with the photographer months in advanced when he planned this special day. We walked around Point Lobos and took the most breathtaking pictures smiling from ear to ear the whole time.

Nos vestimos y manejamos hasta Point Lobos en Monterey, California, para ver la puesta de sol en la playa. Cuando llegamos a Point Lobos, caminamos por el sendero. Nos quedamos allí un momento y un esposo y una esposa se acercaron caminando detrás de nosotros. Chris le pidió a la mujer que nos tomara una foto. La mujer tomó la foto y Chris se arrodilló, sacó un hermoso anillo de diamantes y le pidió a Serena que se casara con él. Serena chilló de emoción mientras estaba cautivada por el brillo del diamante y dijo "sí". La mujer era nuestra fotógrafa profesional, a quien Chris había contratado con meses de anticipación cuando planeó este día especial. Caminamos por Point Lobos y tomamos las fotografías más impresionantes, sonriendo de oreja a oreja todo el tiempo.
