If you have any questions, other than those listed here, please contact serenaandpeter2021@gmail.com and we (or our wedding planner) will get back to you.
Question

What is the best way to travel around London?

Answer

London is very well connected by public transport (including our beloved 'Tube' and Night Buses). We recommend downloading CityMapper (https://citymapper.com/) or using Google Maps to help guide the best way to get around across all modes of transport. Uber is also of course easily available, and reasonably priced alongside our famous black cabs.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We wish we knew! London has famously variable weather. Expect anything from glorious sun @ 30c (86f) to cloudy and rainy @ 15c (60f).

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We hope to have some drinks before dinner in an outdoor (but covered) area at the Old Royal Naval College. However, we will have an indoor area to move to, in case of poor weather. Everything else will be indoors. The boat (transport to the reception) will also be covered.

Question

Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We are so excited to spend our wedding weekend with all of you! We appreciate that many of our guests are travelling from abroad to join us. Luckily, London has many great options to choose from! Our events are spread across 3 different, but well connected areas, so there is no 'perfect' area - any location in Central London will work well, especially with London's solid public transportation options and Uber/Taxis! London is your oyster! Some guests will be staying in South Kensington, due to its proximity to the ceremony (though South Kensington can be on the more expensive side). Therefore, if you are looking for an area suggestion - places in South West London / South Kensington, next to the ceremony location would be recommended. London is serviced by many airports and transport links. However, Heathrow may be the most convenient airport choice due to its access via the Piccadilly Line to South Kensington (where the ceremony is).

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Is the RSVP only online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is 14th March 2022, though the earlier, the better! Please refer to the "RSVP" section on this website to respond.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian options?

Answer

Yes - please ensure you have this reflected in your meal choices in the RSVP. Unfortunately, the venue has made it very clear that changes of options on the day will not be possible, so it's important we get this right for you!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #s&p2022 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

The most important gift to us is having you there on our special day, so please do not feel obliged to send a gift. However if you wish to do so, please see to the "Registry" section of this website for more information.

Question

What is the Old Royal Naval College?

Answer

The Old Royal Naval College is the architectural centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, a World Heritage Site in Greenwich, London. Described by UNESCO as being of "outstanding universal value" and reckoned to be the "finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles". It was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and built between 1696 and 1712. The Painted Hall boasts one of the most spectacular Baroque interiors in Europe. The incredible ceiling and wall decorations were conceived and executed by British artist Sir James Thornhill. The epic painting scheme, known as ‘Britain’s Sistine Chapel’ took nineteen years from the start of the commission to its completion in 1726.
