Serena and German met at Georgia State University one day at the end of completing their finals for Japanese class. Serena and German didn't meet all semester until the last day when her friend Steven started up a conversation with German. Since that day, German and Serena became the best of friends. They bonded over language learning, food, humor, and fun experiences. Serena and German first became great friends before dating a year after meeting.
