"There was a time when Tyree was a little, about 3 or 4 yrs old, he was jumping on the bed and hit his head on the corner of the head board, he didn't begin to cry until he saw the blood. His Godfather & I took him to the ER, Melvin had to hold him down because he would not be still. When the doctors finished their job, Tyree said " That man put Staples in my head, mean man"!!!"

I remember how I would watch CoCo and Rosie GROW, LEARN & LOVE one another, The way they reacted to each other was a blessing. Yet, my favorite memory was her graduation day from college. The moment I saw her in her cap & gown walking in lock step with her classmates, reminded me of how she struggled to get there. She was in a state where she was basically alone with many obstacles. Yet, she stayed focused & determined. As she walked up to receive her diploma, something came over me. I screamed "CoCo hold your head up; Stick out your chest. Walk tall. Pick those legs up. Walk like a soldier. Show everyone what GOD has done for you". It was apparent she heard me & began to follow each command. I got even more proud of her. The only thing that would've made this day better was my RED DRESS

I can remember when Ty & I worked for a non profit org for under privileged kids in our community. On this particular day I decided to get out there & play a little bit of the goalie. All I remember is Tyree asking me was I ready & right when I threw my hands up to signal Im ready, this ball was kicked with so much power & velocity that I had absolutely no time to react. All I know is I got smacked slap dead in the face so hard with no reaction time. All I remember saying is "I need some gloves, where's my gloves," now I don't know if I was temporarily concused or what, but apparently It was bad because everyone came to make sure I was ok. THAT was the last time I made it my business to participate in any soccer field activities. Tyree has not & will never ever let me live that one down

Sequoia was about 3/4. I had just moved back to L.A. The family decided to go to Magic Mountain. I volunteered to babysit, I had been in town for a few and I foolishly thought that Sequoia was used to me! I WAS WRONG! The moment they left she let out a wail, that would wake a coma patient! I thought there was a fear of abandonment! This child cried non-stop for 2 hrs. The only reason she stopped was because she finally went to sleep & that was only for 30 mins! I was at my wits end! I tried everything. Playing w/ her, rocking her & I even laid her down in the other room. NOTHING WORKED! 4 or 5 hrs later when everyone returned, she of course was asleep and my sister asked how was she? I said that little demon cried for 4 hrs straight she just went back to sleep! I NEVER WATCHED YOU AGAIN!

A Memory I share with my sis CoCo I remember a weekend I came to visit you sis in Alabama right after Londyn was born. To see you as a new mother was so beautiful to me and it looked as if it just came so natural to you. It gave us a chance to bond and I believe our bond became stronger.
