Our beautiful story began in the summer of 2014. From the very first moment we met, there was something undeniable, an energy, a connection. Some might call it love at first sight. From that day on, we became inseparable at heart, even while separated by distance. While Joel was serving in the Navy in Italy, Sephora was finishing her studies in Florida. The distance could have pulled us apart, but instead, it strengthened our commitment and gave us even more reason to make it work. When Joel returned to the United States, we didn’t hesitate. Just two years later, we made a bold and spontaneous decision. We got married the very same day we decided to. Romantic?Absolutely. Naïve? Without a doubt. Soon after, we welcomed our first son, Giovanni, and began building our life as a family. Like any real love story, ours was not without challenges. There were obstacles, moments of growth, and seasons that tested us deeply. Sephora approached marriage with intention, like a lifelong study, seeking understanding, asking questions, and choosing vulnerability to rewrite her story. Joel, created a space for growth and accountability, grounded in the belief that becoming a better individual is the foundation of becoming a better partner. This is what has carried us forward. Ten years later, we stand stronger than ever. Our family has grown, and we’ve been blessed with two more boys, Khenan and Jacques. What started as a spark has become a foundation, one built on resilience, growth, and love. Now, it feels like the perfect time not only to celebrate the wedding we never had, but also to honor the journey that brought us here.
