Gyeongbokgung Palace

The largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty. Gyeongbokgung served as the home of the royal family and the seat of government. Closed on Tuesdays. Entrance: 3,000 Won ($2.63)

DMZ (demilitarized zone)

Seoul, South Korea

DMZ is a border barrier that divides the peninsula roughly in half. It was established to serve as a buffer zone between the countries of North Korea and South Korea. Even though the most symbolic place JSA (Joint Security Area) in DMZ has been closed to tourists since July 2023 after a US soldier crossed into North Korea while on a tour, it is still worth a visit. There are a lot of full day or half day tours from Seoul. It cost around $50-$100/person including pick up.

Lotte World Tower
