Getting There From Palm Desert (about an hour):
Wind up the mountain on Highway 74 W for 36 miles, then a slight right onto Highway 243 N for about 5 miles. The Nature Center will be on your left just after you pass through town.
Getting There From the Coast (about two hours):
There are two open routes into Idyllwild from the west. Starting in Riverside, take the 60 E to the 79 S to 74 E. Or, from Temecula take the 79 S to 371 E to 74 W. Highay 243 S out of Banning is closed!
