On a warm summer afternoon in 2012, David and Hannah met through mutual friends at Brunch in the Park at Parc Montjuïc, Barcelona. Dancing until the sun went down (and often until the sun came up), a beautiful friendship bloomed. Hannah's education journey led her from David's hometown of Barcelona back to the USA in 2013, but in 2014 she returned to Catalunya to complete her masters degree and friendship blossomed into a love that would transcend continents, time zones, and even medical school. After a year of Facetime and transatlantic flights, both knew that their most beautiful future would be one walked together as partners. In 2015 David moved to Colorado to start a life together in Hannah's hometown of Boulder, and the two were legally married on May 22, 2015 (forever known as "the day of the paper", pictured above). David and Hannah continue to learn and grow together through the ups, downs, and upside-downs during the years. Love, respect, compassion, and partnership were forged through the challenges of moving far from family ,friends, and home, medical internship and residency, and journeys around the globe. During these years our family has grown to include all of you, and our love grows ever stronger thanks to your love and support. When we eloped as young dreamers full of hope, we knew that one day we would throw the party that our love and our worldwide family deserve. This event is not to "marry" David and Hannah, but to honor and celebrate all of you, and to bring you all together for family, love, and good times. After needing to postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have rescheduled and made a new wedding plan in Sitges, near Barcelona, Spain. We could not be more excited to (finally!0 celebrate with you on October 6, 2023! David and Hannah
