Question

Wait, what’s happening?

Answer

We absolutely love exploring new places, spending time with friends and family, and eating to our heart’s content. So we decided to combine all three by having a 6 day CRUISE wedding to the Western Carribean Sunday, August 16th, 2020- Saturday, August 22nd, 2020! This is definitely not your typical wedding but we are so excited and hope that you can join us!

Question

What exactly is a Cruise Wedding?

Answer

Guests will book their cruise through Carnival Cruise line as if they were booking a normal vacation for themselves. Everyone that would like to join Ren and Sail on the cruise will have the opportunity to attend their wedding ceremony and reception on the 3rd day of the cruise when the ship ports in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The bride and groom will cover the cost of the ceremony and reception. Guests will be responsible for the cost of their individual cruise.

Question

Where is all of this going down?

Answer

Guests will meet us at Port Miami on Sunday, August 16th, 2020. We will board the Carnival Horizon in MIAMI, FL and start our cruise to the Western Caribbeans with stops at the following ports: Ocho Rios (beach wedding destination), Grand Cayman Islands, and Cozumel (ship will then return to Miami).

Question

How do I book my cruise vacation?

Answer

Online booking is not an option for group bookings. Please call Carnival Cruise line at 866-721-3225 (Group booking department) to book your cruise. Group department: 866-721-3225 Hours: 9am-9pm (Weekdays) 9am- 6pm (Saturday) Closed Sundays Group name: Ren and Sail Wedding Ship Name: Carnival Horizon Date: August 16th- 22nd 2020 Group booking number: 5VRF33 Early dining at 6pm When you call, choose option 2 (current booking) Once connected, tell them you need to book a room under Ren and Sail wedding group. They will ask you for group name, group number, ship name, sailing date, etc. A deposit of $250 per person per cabin will reserve your room. Guests will have until 75 days prior to sailing to pay off their balance. Guests can make monthly payments or pay off the entire balance at once. The wedding party is staying on deck 9 FWD (front of the ship). Friends and family are encouraged to stay in the same area or as close to the Wedding Party as possible. Contact Sail for Room #.

Question

I called and booked my cruise already, what now?

Answer

Use the confirmation code that you received while booking to create an online profile at www.carnival.com. Once you create a profile, you can view the trip's itinerary, make payments, add shore excursions, alcohol drink packages, spa & salon services, wifi services, schedule a photoshoot on board, reserve specialty dining, and more. Please visit the fun shops at https://www.carnival.com/funshops to see all of the options.

Question

What about additional guests?

Answer

Please feel free to make a fun family vacation out of this trip to the Western Carribeans! The wedding ceremony and 1 hour reception will only take place on the day that we port at Ocho Rios. You will have the other 5 days to indulge and experience cruising however you'd like. **Please note that we are only able to accommodate formally invited guests to join us for the wedding ceremony and reception in Ocho Rios. Please plan ahead and make other arrangements for your guest while the ceremony and reception is in progress. Thank you for understanding.**

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Beach Formal Attire: Wear suits in lighter hues (feel free to lose the jacket), linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, button up with rolled up sleeves, maxi dresses, sundresses, floral prints, and fun hats and fascinators. We're asking male guests to refrain from wearing shorts. Also, once your toes touch the sand, feel free to take off your shoes.

Question

Can you explain the itinerary for the wedding?

Answer

Sunday (08/16/20): Everyone meet at PortMiami Cruise Terminal to board ship. Monday (08/17/20): Full day at sea where guests can explore the ship and enjoy each other's company. Tuesday (08/18/20): WEDDING DAY! Ship will dock in Ocho Rios. Bride and Groom has arranged roundtrip transportation for guests to join them at Shaw Beach for the ceremony. The ceremony will last about 20 minutes, followed by pictures with the bride and groom. After the pictures, our ride will pick us up from the beach and transport us back to the ship. Guests will be escorted to the 1 hour open bar reception where they can eat and dance with the newlyweds. After the reception, guests can return to their rooms to rest, go grab a bite to eat, or continue partying throughout the ship. Wednesday: Docking at Grand Cayman Islands (self exploration) Thursday: Docking at Cozumel, Mexico (self exploration) Friday: Day at Sea Saturday: Return to Miami

Question

What if I can't make it? Will you be having a land reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are not having a land reception. We would love for you to be able to join us but understand that a 6 day cruise is a huge commitment. We know you're sending love and warm wishes from the mainland!

For all the days along the way
