We met during the peak of the COVID lockdown in June of 2020 and became "official" within weeks (note: Christina essentially forced Carlos to ask her out — we were already in a pandemic, so no need to waste time). The first year of our relationship was long-distance, with Christina finishing college in Ohio and Carlos living and working in Philly. Once we survived long-distance and a pandemic, we knew we could survive anything! In 2022, we moved into our first rental together in South Philly, and a year later, we bought our first house in the same neighborhood, where we currently live. Carlos proposed at sunset on Long Beach Island in the summer of 2024. After (accidentally) cursing him for catching her so off guard, Christina said 'yes.'
