Morgan moved to Williston in June of 2018, moved in with her aunt Gayle and Uncle Wayne, and started working at Headlines. Within a month there was a wedding to do hair for and of course the Wiedrich’s were invited, so Gayle tells Morgan she HAS to go. Refusing, saying I won’t know anyone, etc, but Gayle wins and Morgan gets ready for this “random” wedding and goes with her family. While at the wedding, she spots this cute boy with his backwards hat thanks to Olivia saying “oh my god Alyssa! Don’t tell Maria, but Austin looks so hot!” star matchmaking right there! (Thanks Liv) Little did Morgan know that he happened to be Alyssa’s friend, Maria’s older brother! He makes his way over to talk to the Wiedrich’s, and tell them how he wanted to buy a party bus?? (Thankfully that didn’t work out) Fast forward to the dance, he has his friend Cody dance with Morgan, Olivia, and Alyssa, such a good wing man. He finally dances with Morgan throughout the night, but then it’s time to go home. The girls head back into town and Morgan is just scrolling through Facebook when Austin pops right up on the ‘People You May Know’ section. (Thanks FBI agent) Obviously, being new to town she shoots her shot and adds him. The next morning he follows her on instagram and IMMEDIATELY messages her asking “are you the girl I danced with last night?” After hours of messaging he asks her out to dinner and a movie…well being so nervous she lies and says she would, but she’s already going to a movie with Liv, so he asked for the next night and the next and the next. Until harvest starts and he has to go check fields now there’s no time for dinner and a movie. So hey how about you come check fields with me, and obviously why wouldn’t one go drive around in the middle of nowhere with an absolute stranger?? It’s okay we talked about everything under the sun and he didn’t even murder her. Great times.

Friday December 13, 2024, Morgan’s sister Sam and her family come to town for the holiday stroll, and then William and Oliver get to stay for a sleepover. We make it through the night, Morgan takes the boys with her to work in the morning for haircuts and then Austin picks them up to have a boys day while Morgan does one more client. During that time the group chat is going off and when Morgan finally sees her phone she sees the text saying “If you guys aren’t busy tonight, we are going to take Noah to the Christmas lights at spring lake park! Noah requested Austie and said he guesses Morgie can come too😅🙈” from her cousin Alyssa. Austin replies and of course says “ Yes we will be there.” Morgan gets off work and heads home where Austin, the boys, her sister and brother in law are. Not doing much until going to look at lights, Sam and Seth go to run some errands and then would meet us out there. So everything is normal, not suspicious, UNTIL Austin says to the boys “get ready so we can go look at lights and take pictures!”. Well we are awful at taking pictures so Morgan has a gut feeling thinking ‘oh my god he might propose, I should brush my hair and fix my face!’. The drive from our house to the lights Morgan fully convinced herself it was NOT going to happen and to not get her hopes up, but little did she know. We drive into the lights, Nick leading the way, he stops at the firstphoto op, well now she is really sure it’s not going to happen because obviously it wasn’t Austin’s idea for pictures! We take pictures of the boys and with the boys and then Austin asked Morgan if she wanted to take a picture, now the gut feeling is back! Boom, Austin FINALLY gets down on one knee and asked her to marry him! He may or may not have also said “Are you done?!” Afterwards we went for dinner with everyone who was there to learn who was all in on it and helped the planning. Most importantly the fact that he showed William (6) and Oliver (3) the ring and those little rats didn’t even tell their auntie, so clearly their loyalty lies with their Uncle Austin! Morgan definitely didn’t make this easy on him, she has lots of important people in her life that stepped up for her! She’s told him for years he has to ask her mom, stepdad, Scott (Tom), brother, Donovan, and uncles Jamie and Wayne before he proposes.
