We met on the very popular online dating site, "Coffee Meets Bagel." For our first date, we broke all the typical first-date "rules." We met up at Natalie's apartment, went on a hike to a secluded area, went tubing, out to dinner, and then grabbed drinks. We talked about all the things you shouldn't on a first date (politics, exes, religion, etc). The evening ended with a sweet kiss, and Steven headed home knowing he'd found his everything bagel.
After dating long distance for 8 months, Natalie & Steven took a trip to Las Vegas. They explored the town, ate a lot of great food, and fell completely and utterly head over heels for each other, confirming for both of them that they had hit the jackpot. ;)
Steven proposed to Natalie in their forever home while it was under construction. He suggested that they continue to construct their relationship, working side by side to have a beautiful life together just as they were working on building a beautiful home together. He proposed with a ring that Natalie had coincidentally saved on her phone several years prior, and with a box he had whittled from wood in the shape of a coffee mug and bagel. Natalie said, "Yes!" and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Steven's family was on the way over to meet her family for the first time.
