What's the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

We recommend using our shuttle which will pick up guests at both the local Hampton Inn & Residence Inn (see "Schedule" page for details). The venue has limited parking so we ask as many guests as possible to take a shuttle. If you do decide to drive, please carpool and make sure to pick a designated driver! Feel free to reach out to the couple if you are confused!

What's the weather like this time of year?

Answer

Well normally it's nice...but of course there's a hurricane... Fun fact about hurricanes under Cat 4 - they are just long windy rainstorms. We will have a tent and most of it should be over for the wedding. For those of you flying in prior to the wedding, we understand that it may impact your travel plans. Stay safe and let us know if anything changes!

Fernandina Beach? I thought y'all lived in Jacksonville...

We do! Fernandina is like basically Jacksonville. In the things to do section we've put both sites near Fernandina and also in Jacksonville. If you're turning this trip into a mini vacation, definitely explore all around Jacksonville and Amelia/Fernandina areas (and even St Augustine). Just remember no one here uses turn signals for some reason, so drive careful!

Should I be worried about alligators?

Answer

We wish! Since living here we've seen like 5 in Jacksonville and we were really trying to find them. Things you can instead worry about: Florida Man, fire ants, no see-ums

Will Moose be there?

Obviously. Nancy will be there in spirit as well. Moose will be the handsome doggo in a tux.
