Kyle and I actually met on Tinder. We talked for a month and half before we ever met in person. We met on a Friday night after I’d just driven 5 hours, dropping my kids off to their dad. It was a last minute decision. I mean I wasn’t even home from dropping them off yet. We went to play faire park and played miniature golf. It was an interesting first encounter for sure. I was running late, my pants had ripped all the way up my thigh, and he forgot they were cash only. Luckily, i had cash on me so I actually paid for our first date. After 18 holes, we went to sonic and grabbed something to drink. We sat and talked for a minute before deciding to go walk around ACU. We spent a couple hours there and walked all over the campus!! And sat at Jacob’s dream for a while enjoying each other’s company and conversation. It was an amazing night.

We didn’t even get to see each other on our anniversary. So, we went on a date to celebrate on Monday. We went to Olive Garden for dinner (my favorite) and were planning on going to PrimeTime to play miniature golf, like on our first date. It was 100°, I was in wedges and had just WAY over eaten. I asked if we could go buy some silverware for the house we are working towards buying. Bed bath and beyond was closed so he suggested Target. We were standing in the silverware aisle and I said “I don’t really like any of these” and turned to ask him what he thought and he wasn’t there! He was down on one knee with a ring in his hands and said “babe will you marry me?” He put the ring on and stood up and we hugged and kissed. He shyly said “you haven’t answered yet.” Of course I said “YES!!” He said “it was supposed to be at putt putt” so I asked why he didn’t wait and he said “I didn’t think we’d make it to putt putt. You didn’t want to go.” He’s still salty about it not being at putt putt but he was soooo ready to do it and I love that he didn’t want to wait anymore and just did it right there!

Kyle wanted to make sure we all knew that he is the boss now. That is all. Let us all point and laugh at his delusion.
