We’re Getting Married

It all started with a swipe on Hinge, where a simple message led to a date that neither of us will ever forget. Sonny picked me up for our first date, and as I got into the car, I immediately FaceTimed my best friend, Laura. I needed to make sure I wasn’t walking into any danger, but little did I know that the person sitting next to me would soon become my best friend, my partner, and my forever. Our first date was far from ordinary. We went to a Drake concert, where the music was incredible, and the energy was electric. It felt like the perfect setting for a first meeting, and even though we were surrounded by thousands of people, there was something so intimate about getting to know each other in that moment. From then on, we kept talking, going on more dates, and every time, it felt more and more like we were meant to be. After a few months of laughter, shared memories, and many adventures, Sonny asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a simple question, but one that changed everything. We were no longer just two people trying to figure things out—we were building something real. We traveled together, creating memories in every city we visited. One unforgettable trip was to Houston during a hurricane, where we found ourselves braving the storm with nothing but each other’s company and a sense of adventure. It was in those moments, the ones where life was unpredictable, that I realized I had found someone who would stand by me no matter what. Then, came the day when Sonny asked my parents for their blessing to marry me. It was a moment of pure love and respect, and I knew in my heart that he was the person I was meant to spend my life with. Fast forward to the proposal—Sonny, being the romantic he is, planned the perfect surprise. With all of his best friends by his side, and my family and friends flying in from Houston, he created a moment I will never forget. In front of everyone we loved, he asked me to be his forever, and of course, I said yes. Our journey together has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re so excited to start this next chapter of our love story.
