This one is pretty self explanatory! Go explore the FREE Smithsonian museums and walk the Memorials! DC is fairly walkable and its so inspiring to be in such a historic place.
Don't miss the underground tunnel to the Library of Congress! And the Supreme Court is just around the corner too. Everything in DC is free to visit (but some may require you to book a time spot in advance)
If you haven't been to DC before, I highly recommend the free walking tours! There are general history tours, haunted tours, political scandal tours and more!
Don't forget about the zoo! Although this is a little further off, it can be reached by car or metro!

This is a super fun food hall with amazingly authentic and yummy cuisine! We came twice in the same weekend when we discovered it!
Another yummy food hall!

This drive through Shenandoah National Park in the autumn for the fall leaves' colors is a must!
