In 2018, Kugan and Selicia’s paths crossed at an engineering quiz night in Cape Town again. On opposing teams, they were in perfect opposition—one sparking quick answers, the other ensuring every response was built on a solid foundation. But by the end of the night, the equation of their connection solved itself, and what started as a series of variables became a constant. Through every test, formula, and challenge, their bond only grew stronger. In 2023, Kugan proposed, and Selicia, without hesitation, answered—"Always." In 2024, they embarked on a new adventure, moving to Australia, but no matter how far they traveled, home was always Durban—the place and the people who helped shape them into the individuals they are today. Now, in December 2025, they return to where it all began, surrounded by those who have supported and loved them, to celebrate a love that’s structurally sound, electrically charged, and—like the strongest magic—meant to last.
