Our story starts in September of 2014. We were both students of Nassau community college. I (Christina) was doing my pre requisites for Nursing. The year prior I had done a summer program for highschool students wanting to go into nursing at Adelphi. One of my friends from the program also was going to Nassau Community College. One day heading to cafeteria at lunch my friend was sitting at table with someone else. That someone was Jordan. He was quiet at first, my friend was holding most of the conversation rambling on about different anime's they were watching. Once my friend got up to get food, it is when we started talking. He laughed and said my friend was very talkative and loved their anime and I laughed with him. We found out we had a lot in common. We had similar tastes in music, movies , food and humor. We started texting and using skype (which was popular late 2010s) Soon we met up in the cafeteria eating lunch when our breaks matched. Then he was making time to sit with me everyday. ( unknowingly to me at the time he was skipping classes to spend more time with me during the day) One day that October the college was hosting a concert on campus, but decided last minute to ditch it and go the Roosevelt Field Mall with another friend. Later that day I get a text message while I was on the computer playing a game. The text said "I had a lot of fun today we should do this again" which I then replied "Like a date?" and he responded "Yes" We set our first date at his parent's place on halloween eating halloween candy and playing call of duty on xbox. He insisted I cheated the whole time and 10 years later he still claims I cheat on most matches. We followed each other to Hunter Business School in Levittown NY. He went for computer repair and I went for medical assistant. We got our first place shortly after the pandemic. On June 7th 2025, Jordan surprised me a last minute date, wanting to check out this new sushi restaurant and after we finished our meal he asked me to marry him. In very us fashion, we went to a retro arcade to celebrate. Come and Celebrate with us as we start next part of this adventure as husband and wife.
