Reggie and Selene met in the Summer of 2017 at the Atlanta Greek Picnic (a social gathering for black greek organizations held in Atlanta annually). Reggie approached Selene and asked her if she could take a picture of him and his fraternity brothers. Even though she was hot and annoyed, she said, "yes" (because he was handsome). Afterward, the two began to converse, and Reggie invited her to attend a function with him later that evening. He asked for her number, and the two parted ways. Later that night, Reggie texted Selene, asking if she was coming to the event. But, after being so exhausted from the long, hot day, Selene declined the invitation and stayed in that night. The following day, as Selene was on her way back to Columbia, Reggie messaged her again. He wanted to know if she could join him for brunch. If only Selene had waited one more hour to go home, the two would've been engaged a lot sooner! However, they kept in touch and continued communicating for the rest of the summer. They became good friends and quickly learned that they had so much in common. Fast forward to the Summer of 2019—Selene moved to Atlanta after graduating college and lived there for about eight months before she and Reginald reconnected. They began FaceTiming and texting one another while Reginald was on a family trip in the Dominican Republic, and they FaceTimed for days at a time. Yes, you read that correctly, DAYS. Meaning, they were on FaceTime Friday through Saturday without once hanging up—they kept the other in their pocket. As soon as Reggie returned home, he immediately took Selene on a date. The two bonded over video games. Selene called Reggie out for letting her win, and then that's when he blurted out, "I'm sorry, I LOVE YOU." While they were both shocked, the next day, Reggie asked Selene to be his girlfriend. They've been inseparable ever since. A year and nine months later, he asked her to be his WIFE.
