We casually met at a restaurant, not expecting anything of it. A chance encounter, a fleeting song was what we thought of it. Yet, when we sang along aloud to the song playing while we ate, we knew there had to be something there. Over some years, we would see each other at congregation gatherings, conventions, and more restaurants. We would click every time we would meet. It was a melody that was yet to be complete. It took time to compose this love song. It wasn't infatuation, it was something real, a love song that played on repeat, persisting in our heads. There were high and low notes, but that is what made the song. Though we are similar in many ways, the facets to our personalities are distinct. We did not want to be the "perfect match," we were the Perfect Complements to each other, like music being distinct from lyrics but both needing each other to be a song. Like that love song that we are, we live to sing, dance, laugh, and eat (a lot), and we look forward to composing more of this lovely symphony that will never end.
