Once upon a time, in the halls of SUNY Oneonta, there was a young man in his final year and a young woman just beginning her journey. They belonged to rival a cappella groups—he, the esteemed president of Hooked on Tonics, and she, a promising newcomer in Pitch Slapped. Though their voices often filled the same auditoriums, their words never intertwined. Then came one fateful evening, on the 18th of February, when destiny orchestrated their meeting at the storied establishment, Jimmy T’s. With confidence, the young man approached the maiden and asked for a dance. But how could she, a devoted member of Pitch Slapped, accept such an offer from the very leader of their greatest rival? And so, she refused. Yet fate is a clever composer, and the next morning, a simple message from the young man found its way to her Facebook dm's. This time, she did not turn away. From that moment forward, their melodies intertwined, creating a harmony that no distance—be it six hours or more—could silence. Now, nearly eight years later, their love has crescendoed into a lifelong duet, and they joyfully invite you to celebrate the beginning of their next movement: their wedding.
