How We Met!

First Comes Awkward School Dances, Then Comes Marriage

Listen. The story of how we met is boring. Technically, we met through a mutual friend during my junior year of high school and his senior year which, again, sounds boring. My initial first impression of him was that he stank, my second was that he was actually pretty cute. His first impression of me was, and I quote, "cute little Mexican girl". We did, however, get to know each other during 5th period since we were both teacher aids. I'm going to skip all the embarrassing encounters but eventually, after stalking him around school and football games, I asked him to a Sadie's Dance using a cutie orange. The rest is history! We are now building a life together along with our fish, frog, bearded dragon, three leopard geckos, and four fluffy fat cats (minus Simon, we're still fattening him up).

The Proposal

but Not Really...

We are gonna come completely clean. Tristan and I did not have a very traditional proposal by any means. In fact, we decided to get married on a random Wednesday night while cooking dinner, in our kitchen, in our pajamas. I know, it's terrible but it was a mutual decision that we made together and we are 100% happy with the way it happened! We did, however, stage fake proposal photos with the help of a friend a month later so feel free to imagine a cute picnic proposal instead if it helps. Sorry :)
