Hono has been a family friend for years, prior to us meeting in Cuba. Cuba was the beginning of an adventure with many learning experiences of one another. There were many highs and lows. During that trip, we knew there could be something special. We both took the time to get to know each others weakness and strengths.

On my birthday, all I wanted to do was horse back-riding and get away from the city life. I wanted to escape to nature and enjoy moments of silence. Throughout the morning, I saw peacocks chirping and water creeks flushing very calmly. Hono took me back to the creek and we stood on the bridge memorized by our surroundings. He gets down on one knee and tears begin to stream down. I was speechless! But finally said, "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
