Her Side: It was spring break 2020, right when COVID was starting to shut the world down. Andrew and I had known of each other, we went to the same high school, and I played softball while he played baseball. We followed each other on Instagram, but that was pretty much it. Out of nowhere, he invited me to a party at an Airbnb for his friend’s birthday. I decided to go with two of my girlfriends, not expecting anything crazy but that night changed everything. His friend Dom ended up introducing us, and Andrew and I just… clicked. His Side: I had been following her for a while and always thought she was cute, when the birthday party came around, I figured it was the perfect time to invite her. So we just went with the flow, walked the Huntington Beach Pier, and grabbed Chick-fil-A instead. Not the original plan, but honestly, it ended up being way better. Her Side: That first date was simple, spontaneous, and honestly perfect. His Side: Then came date number two, I had her meet my family and take batting practice in my backyard. Casual, right? That day, I asked her to be my girlfriend. Both: From that moment on, it’s been us. We bonded over our love for baseball and softball, our tight-knit families, and our favorite kind of nights, the ones spent in, cooking dinner or watching movies together. What started with a party invite and a walk on the pier turned into forever. And now, we can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with you.
