Back in 2019, Blake came into the hair salon which I worked at, at the time for his haircut appointment… His hairstylist told me he asked “who is the hot blonde with the big butt” LOL. I never noticed him before so when he came in for his next appointment, I made sure to see who this dude was and saw his beautiful blue eyes and that blonde hair and well of course his big (no, not what you think - get your mind out of the gutter!) lifted truck. I had to do what any girl would do and look him up and do some digging on social media. Safe to say I shot my shot and we hung out that night. He picked me up and we went for a little night fishing, followed up with pizookies. We hung out every possible day we could. I did not think he would be my forever person. I wasn’t looking for any serious relationship at the time but little did I know, he was just everything I needed, wanted and more. He would drive all the way from Eugene, to me in Thurston hills even after a long days of work. Before I knew it, a month flew by and we made it official. He truly showed up for me in every way possible. He made the hard times/days going through some unfortunate family things, not so hard. That’s when I truly realized he was my rock, my safe place, my best friend and most importantly, my home. He still is and always will be. On 02/10/2024, we had plans to go to the casino in Florence and stay overnight. Some of you may know that Blake took up a new hobby, aquarium tanks and fish. He is not one to go wander on the coast but he insisted we go to the coast and look for shells for his fish new tanks. I thought hm that’s a little odd and suspicious he actually wants to go walk the coast but this man is serious about his fish tanks so didn’t think much of it… I was very surprised when I got up and turned around to show Blake a cool shell I found to see him on one knee asking me to marry him. It was the most special and intimate moment of just us two that we will cherish forever.
