Question

What measures are being taken to protect against COVID-19?

Answer

The past 2 years have been tough. We look forward to seeing everyone and celebrating, but want to do so in a safe manner. So we are requesting that every eligible guest (adult or child) is vaccinated for COVID-19. We will be asking that you email your vaccination cards. We understand that there are many questions about the vaccine. As two physicians, we would be more than happy to help and answer any questions that may arise. Please don't hesitate to call/text/email us and we would be more than happy to help!

Question

What do we do between the wedding and the reception?

Answer

As the wedding will be ending at 4pm and the cocktail hour starting at 5:30 in the Heritage Museum, there will be a short break! Here are some options: Carillon Park! There are many attractions and places within the Park itself. Please be aware that in the Eichelberger Pavilion and Heritage Museum itself we will be setting up the evening but are you are welcome to visit the cafe next door as well! For those who want a drink, there is a brewery in the park itself! Here is a link to the website: https://www.daytonhistory.org/visit/dayton-history-sites/carillon-historical-park/ The hotel where our block is, is around a mile away from the venue. So if you need a quick nap, to change clothes, or grab a snack! We will have a shuttle service provided for guests staying in the hotel due to the lack of availability of Ubers. The Oregon District: This is a street in Downtown Dayton that's filled with restaurants, cute shops and a couple of good bars! Around 7 minute drive from the Park

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

The attire is formal, but either Western or Indian clothes is fine! We would prefer guests not wear black at the wedding (It's okay for the reception)! There will be guests wearing Indian clothes and many will change between the wedding and reception, but it's really whatever you feel most comfortable in. If you want to wear Indian clothes but don't have any, here are a couple websites where you could purchase them from: https://www.cbazaar.com/ www.amazon.com etsy https://www.panashindia.com/ (Does custom make outfits for a decent price)

Question

By when should we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 15th!

Question

What is a Baraat?

Answer

A Baraat is the groom's wedding procession! We'll start at a named location, and lead David to the wedding venue where Sejul will be waiting. There will be music, drums, lots of dancing and if we get super lucky, we may even see the groom bust some moves.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Due to us relocating to a new state shortly after getting married, we did decide to forgo having a registry and ask for no boxed gifts.
