While part of the same Dartmouth friend group for years, the sparks first began to fly in Cabo (spring break ‘17). It was a rough start. Riley spent the first three days like many American tourists, succumbing to Mexican tap water. Sejal kept up with the hard partying Dartmouth scene, closing down clubs and bars across Mexico. By the time Riley recovered, most of the crew had flamed out with an aversion to alcohol, but not Sejal. Over the next three days, Sejal and Riley had a chance to get to know each other, and learned how similar they are. When they got back to campus, Riley asked Sejal on their first date- pong and Dominos pineapple pizza. Sejal couldn’t have asked for a better date. Since then, Sejal and Riley continue to fall more and more in love. From doing Boston-NYC long distance for a year, quarantining in Vermont, and now living in Hoboken together, they’ve never been happier than when they are together.
