University Village is another favorite hangout. We love spreading out on the lawn, listening to local bands, and soaking in the community atmosphere. When it’s time to eat, Ba Bar and Din Tai Fung are our top picks; perfect for sharing flavorful dishes and lingering conversations.
Breakfast is sacred to us. Portage Bay in Seattle is a farm-to-table concept that highlights fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it’s a relaxed weekend brunch or a special morning out, this place always feel like a treat.
Food is our love language, and we love supporting local small businesses and restaurants. You’ll often find us in the Columbia City area enjoying the bold, vibrant flavors at Island Soul, an upbeat Caribbean restaurant. They make the best seafood gumbo!
As self-proclaimed foodies, we’re always on the hunt for a great espresso martini. So far, our top restaurant is Pacifica in Bellevue. Pacifica has its own unique spin and trying their espresso martini has become part of the fun. They have open mic every Friday night. It is like being on the Voice.
One of our favorite cities to visit is the Edmonds waterfront. During the summer, we love taking evening walks along the boardwalk to get our steps in while enjoying the fresh air and stunning Puget Sound views. We often pause to sit and watch the sunset. There’s something grounding and peaceful about ending the day this way. We usually wrap up the night with a stop at the gelato café in downtown Edmonds as a well-earned treat after hitting 10,000 steps (or more).
One of our favorite places to relax together is Totem Lake Village. Whether we’re enjoying a peaceful escape at Yuan Spa or grabbing a healthy bite at Sweetgreen, it’s our go-to spot for a little recharge. And of course, no visit is complete without a stop at Salt & Straw for a sweet ice cream treat!
If you're looking to get your steps in, Green Lake is the perfect spot! We love walking the scenic 2.8-mile loop around the lake and then heading over to Momi, a nearby Indian restaurant. Try their flavorful rice biryani, it’s one of our favorites!
The Seattle Waterfront is a must-visit spot filled with fun and iconic sights! You’ll see the famous Great Wheel, explore the newly opened park, and visit the Seattle Aquarium, all within walking distance. Just a short stroll uphill takes you to Pike Place Market, where the vibrant energy and unique vendors make you feel like you’ve traveled to another country. One of our favorite things to buy is a bouquet of seasonal flowers from the market. It’s a lively, family-friendly destination with something for everyone!
