It was one night on Bumble, a dating app for those who don't know, and a swipe right on the bee hive started the journey to the rest of our lives. After 24 hours of non-stop messaging we decided to meet on the eve of the new year. It was at a Dunkin's in Danvers, MA that we sat for hours and talked, mainly Brendan, until we were told that they were closing for the night. As midnight got closer and closer our families questioned our whereabouts and we assured that although it was not midnight we would receive our first new year's kiss. Three months later the shutdown for COVID-19 started but that did not stop us. We took precautions and took it upon us that during this time we would travel within New England. Forward three more months come June '20 and we took a trip never to be forgotten. We went up to Lincoln, NH and stayed in the White Mountains. As beautiful as it was the most beautiful thing of all is this is where we fell for each other and knew the rest of our lives could not be spent apart. After six additional months it was New Year's Eve and we celebrated our anniversary with receiving our first ever midnight kiss as the clock struck midnight. Nearly a year later we took our first true vacation. We spent two weeks in Florida with Seihla's family; in celebration of Stiles' 5th birthday, his golden birthday. On December 9th, we went to dinner at a very beautiful Italian restaurant. As nervous as Brendan was he awaited till we got back to the hotel room and while Seihla was relaxing Brendan, bent down on one knee and popped the question. Now we plan and wait til' 12/31/23 for us to tie the knot. As symbolic as the date we have chosen is, it means more than we think. Three events will have taken place on New Year's Eve. Our first we had met, our second we received the midnight kiss we had always wished, and our third will be the beginning of the rest of our lives. And that is how we will have gone from bee to ring.
