DAMA Fashion District - DTLA Restaurant & Bar

Latin-inspired small plates and vibrant atmosphere. Antonia Lofaso, from Top Chef and Food Network, is the Executive Chef. Top Chef is one of our favorite shows to watch together.

Girl & the Goat Los Angeles

555-3 Mateo Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Girl & the Goat, about a 10-minute drive from the Moxy in Downtown LA, is a popular restaurant led by chef Stephanie Izard (also from Top Chef and Food Network) and known for creative, seasonal dishes.

Sonoratown

208 East 8th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Authentic Sonoran‑style tacos & burritos, handmade flour tortillas. Sonoratown was named one of LA’s 101 Best Restaurants by the LA Times. Josh had a goal to go to every restaurant in the magazine and we almost did!

Grand Central Market

317 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Grand Central Market is a historic downtown food hall featuring dozens of vendors, from tacos and ramen to sandwiches and pastries — perfect for a casual bite or exploring a variety of flavors.

Bottega Louie

700 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90017

Bottega Louie is a lively Italian café and restaurant in downtown LA, a great spot for brunch. Enjoy fresh pasta, wood‑fired pizzas, and their famous colorful macarons.

A multi-venue dining, drinking, and entertainment destination in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA), featuring a collection of chef-driven restaurants, cocktail bars, lounges, and a nightclub on the 8th floor of the Moxy & AC Hotel complex. Located across from Crypto.com Arena and near the LA Convention Center, it’s designed as an all-in-one spot for dinner, drinks, and nightlife in the heart of DTLA.

Sawtelle Japantown

2011 Sawtelle Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025

Sawtelle Japantown, about a 25-minute drive from the Moxy in Downtown LA, is full of Japanese restaurants, cafés, and bakeries. When we lived in LA, we tried to eat at every restaurant here and still love grabbing ramen, sushi, or a Ban Ban Burger whenever we visit. We also strongly recommend Hermanito, Killer Noodle, Millet Crepe, and Wanderlust Ice Cream.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood

3400 Warner Boulevard, Burbank, CA 91505

Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Burbank is about 20 minutes by car from the Moxy in Downtown LA. The tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at film and television sets, soundstages, and studio history. One of Josh's favorite things to do in LA. Must book in advance.

Universal Studios Hollywood

100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608

Universal Studios Hollywood is about a 25-minute drive from the Moxy in Downtown LA. The park features rides, shows, and behind-the-scenes experiences, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World.

Rodeo Drive

Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA

Rodeo Drive is about a 30-minute drive from the Moxy in Downtown LA. It’s famous for luxury shopping and high-end boutiques. The area also offers a variety of popular restaurants and cafés. If you've made it to Beverly Hills, check out Westfield Century City for more shopping and eating.

Silverlake Flea

1911 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026

The Silver Lake Flea Market is about a 15-minute drive from the Moxy in Downtown LA. The trendy market offers vintage goods, antiques, and handmade items from local vendors. Friday: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Sunday: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
