We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. You’ll find all the details throughout our site, including a few hotel and overall travel recommendations. We'll be adding even more as we get closer to our wedding date. Thank you for your continued love and support throughout the years! The countdown is officially (and finally!) on to June 19, 2023. See you then!
We met sophomore year at Pepperdine University. I remember that it was a causal college night out with my roommates. Within minutes of getting to the party I saw this girl walk by, and I swear the world stopped. I couldn't stop staring, and I knew right then and there that I was going to date her. I had to know who she was and what she was all about, but boy was I nervous to talk to her. I managed to introduce myself that night and couldn't wait for the next time I saw her.
Slightly different perspective. I remember meeting Eric in the cafeteria at school, and I can't say it was casual or smooth. I was rushing to eat breakfast before class (looking my best after a brutal 7am soccer practice). As I was stuffing my face with food, I felt unwanted stares from across the room. I looked up and gave this random guy a weird look, and he immediately turned away. That moment on the random guy would always try to talk to me every chance he got. He even went as far as screaming across the room one day asking how my boyfriend at the time was doing (hoping I would say we broke up). Fast forward to a party where he saw I was cold, looked for a jacket, but couldn't find one, and then said that I really need to bring my own jacket next time. Needless to say he won me over with his words.
We started dating back in 2012. The beginning of our relationship was mostly long distance as Eric got drafted by the Pirates right after college. Katie stayed in California pursuing her own career. Long distance was hard, but it was also extremely rewarding. We were both going after what we wanted and supported each other along the way. Eric ended up walking away from baseball in 2020 and was lucky enough to get a different job during the pandemic. We recently bought a house in Orange County where we live with our two dogs, Duke and Meiko. We were able to experience and see so many incredible places throughout his minor league career, but we are looking forward to the future!
