Our Story

6/25/22- ∞

Like many modern love stories, Hannah and Eddie’s began on a dating app. Their first meeting took place outside a Starbucks near Eddie’s first apartment in Hoboken, followed by drinks at Pier 13 and a conversation that felt comfortable and natural from the very beginning. Both of them walked away knowing that meeting each other was something special. The night was filled with laughter, easy conversation, and a sense of familiarity that surprised them both. They both shared their love of snacks and when Eddie declared orange Starbursts the worst flavor, Hannah knew she had found someone who truly understood her. The date ended with a walk to a nearby park, where they sat on a bench that would later become “their bench,” a place they still return to today. Just two days later, they went on their second date, and it quickly became clear that neither wanted the momentum to stop. One date turned into many, and spending time together felt effortless. Shortly after they met, Hannah traveled to North Carolina to visit her sister, and the time apart only strengthened their connection. They stayed in constant contact, both realizing how much they already missed each other. When Hannah returned home, Eddie asked her to be his girlfriend, and Hannah was so overjoyed that she burst into show tunes before saying yes. By September 2022, after weeks of playfully calling themselves “in like" with each other, they shared their first “I love yous.” And yes, Hannah broke out into show tunes before responding (she did say I love you back). From there, Hoboken weekends became their routine. In October 2024, they moved in together and continued building a life filled with laughter, love, and meaningful everyday moments. On their third anniversary, a celebratory dinner became a life changing moment. On July 26, 2025, Eddie proposed on Hannah’s Poppop’s property on Mason’s Island, the very place she had always dreamed of and the same spot where her parents became engaged. Now, Hannah and Eddie are planning their wedding and a future rooted in love, partnership, shared memories, and plenty of spontaneous show tunes.
