When should I RSVP by?

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code is formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Ladies- The ceremony will be on the lawn, think chunky heels or wedges. Cocktail hour and reception will be on stable ground! There are areas to walk out to on the lawn throughout the evening if you'd like. Staying on property: Resort Casual is the standard attire in all areas of the Nicklaus Clubhouse whenever possible. Sportswear is permitted when setting up or preparing for a function. Casual hats are not permitted inside of the Clubhouse. Exercise attire is not permitted in any areas inside or outside of the Nicklaus Clubhouse.

"Plus one's" will be indicated on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
After consulting with many of our friends, the common response was "I'm not bringing my kids!" We love them but we have decided to only invite a few kids from our families. This will be indicated on your invitation.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes, there is parking onsite in front of the Nicklaus clubhouse.

How do we get into Colleton River?
Answer
When you pull into Colleton River, you will stop at the gate. They will have a list of all guest names and will provide you a pass.

What activities are there to do in Colleton River?
Answer
There is a newly renovated community pool with a cafe. There are also tennis courts, pickle ball, a gym & spa. There is also a lovely dock down by the water to catch a sunrise or sunset.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, please indicate this on your RSVP. You will still choose your entree and the chef will adjust the meal as needed.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
There will not be arranged transportation from outside accommodations. You can use ride share such as Uber or Lyft. This is the low country, ride share may be limited so plan for longer wait times. Check with your hotel for transportation options. Below are some companies that you can prearrange rides with. Those staying onsite can walk. What is there to do in the area? (Bluffton and Hilton Head Island)
Answer
Bluffton is the town right before the bridge to Hilton Head island. There is a cute area called, Old Town Bluffton with shops and restaurants to check out. On the island, Hilton Head there are many areas to explore. From beach activities to restaurants and shopping. Check out the "Things to Do" section for some of our favorites.

Can I golf in Colleton River?
Answer
The Dye course will be open while the Nicklaus will be closed. These courses are private and only allow for unaccompanied guests after 12pm with a cost of $350pp. While on property, the Par 3 course will be open for use at anytime with no charge. There are also recommended courses in the area under the "Things to Do" section.

What will the weather be?
Answer
According to the farmer's almanac: Temp. 77° (2° below avg.); precip. 2.5" (2" below avg.). Update: Looking like it is going to be a bit warmer, mid-eighties. We are making adjustments to limit the time outside. The farmer was a bit off.
