If there is one place to stop for shopping, Tlaquepaque is it! Pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh, this arts and shopping village will not disappoint. *Parking is free. We recommend visiting on the earlier side for easy parking. *Can get busy especially around lunch time.
* Entrance fee: $11 per vehicle. Recommend bringing cash as it may be cash only. * Operational hours: 8am to dusk. We recommend getting to the location 15-20 minutes prior to opening. Parking is limited. This is a very popular trail so we do emphasize getting there early. * A very unique trail. Easy stroll until you have to cross the stream which involves walking over stepping stones, logs, and or a couple of steps in shallow water.
* Hiking and swimming all in one place! This location offers multiple short hiking trails and a world famous natural slide formed by Sedona's red rocks. Bring your bathing suit, towels, floaties, and lots of sunscreen! * Entrance fee: $20-$30 per vehicle. * Facility hours: 8am-6pm. * There is plenty of parking but the swimming area can get crowded. * Highly recommend visiting!
*Popular trail leading to Boynton Canyon Vortex. *Address will pop-up in google maps. Cellular service can be iffy around this area. It is on the same road as Enchantment Resort. *Parking: Paved parking lot. Will need to purchase day pass (pay meter in parking lot). This parking lot does get busy as it leads to multiple trails. If you notice cars parking on the side of the road, most likely the parking lot is full. *Dog friendly !
*If you're looking to venture out of Sedona, we highly recommend driving up to Flagstaff which is roughly a 45 minute to 1 hour drive. The drive is spectacular! * Flagstaff is a college town (Northern AZ University). Great place to walk around town, check out some shops and restaurants. *We love that it is less touristy than Sedona, low-key with hippie/chill vibes, and has one of the best neopolitan pizza's ever (Pizzicletta!). Recommended by our photographer and it exceeded our expectations!
* If you're looking to buy Native American jewelry (directly from local Native Americans) this is a great location. * Displays of jewelry and other crafts item are displayed along the pathway to Oak Creek Vista. *Paved parking lot. No fee for parking. *If you're planning on going to Flagstaff this is on the way! Roughly 25-30 minutes from Sedona. *This drive is not for the faint of heart. Winding road with switchbacks and steep ascent.
