Maid of Honor
Karine and I have been friends since elementary school and have shared one too many bottles of chardonnay over the years. We have bonded over our mutual love for Italian food, wine, and men (in that exact order). Our nearly two-decade long friendship is one I cherish deeply. It means the world to me to have her as my maid of honour.
Best Man
The. Best. Man. Ryan and I have been best friends since the 9th grade. We have shared many bottles of Jägermeister, one-star accommodations, along with some great (largely unmentionable) memories! His tastes have evolved as he is now a craft brew aficionado - frequently making his rounds of local breweries in Hamilton. Under unique circumstances he can be very handy, often referring to himself as Mike Holmes. I couldn't imagine having anyone else right next to me on my special day!
Bridesmaid
Kiki and I met 5 years ago at a party we were both excited to leave. Her better (read worse) half, Tanveer, is one of Sebastiano’s best friends and groomsmen – rendering Kiki and I inseparable. Words can’t begin to simplify years’ worth of crazy moments and constant laughter into only a few sentences. She's been part of so many of my best memories. It's only fitting that she'll join me as a bridesmaid on my greatest adventure yet.
Groomsman
Tanveer is Kiki’s partner and has been good friends with Sebastiano for many years. He is known to some as a master of the grill and makes some of the best ribs around. Although they might take 12 hours to make - you will not be disappointed (assuming you still have your appetite by the time they are ready). Don’t play him in poker… It will be a mistake and you will lose all your money.
Bridesmaid
Tawny and I were roommates when I lived in Toronto. Who knew that sharing a 600 square foot apartment would lead to her becoming one of my best friends (there was no escape) getting ready to stand by me on my wedding day? As matchmaker extraordinaire, she introduced the happy couple so yes, she gets a seat at the table.
Groomsman
No one actually knows how to pronounce his name so we just call him Magic (like witchcraft). He was actually named after a Polish sheep, but that is where the sheepishness ends! By day he catches money-launderers on Bay St. and crafts delectable Old Fashioneds by night. If you've ever seen Magic and Sebastiano together in person, you know their bromance runs deep (so deep, in fact, that Nicole tries not to be jealous).
Bridesmaid
Ferzin and I have been friends since elementary school and have shared many of life’s biggest milestones. Fun fact: when we were 15, we worked at the same part-time job for 2 weeks until I was gently “let go”. Our friendship has outlasted that job and much more since then. I'm so grateful to have her as my bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Cole has known Sebastiano since the 9th grade and lived with him for two years in university. He has many skills and talents you would not expect. Pick a sport or activity and he will beat you guaranteed - no bogey’s to be seen here. From pool to backflips and even being the best dressed, Cole can do it all! Just don’t ask him to play Super Smash Bro’s or it might lead to a loss in friendship… Permanently.
Bridesmaid
Rosanna is my loving yet fierce sister-in-law. She can be found in the kitchen crafting cocktails and the most insta-worthy charcuterie boards while harnessing her #NonnaEnergy. The Queen of Queen East, she has my back no matter what, so of course, I’d want her to hold my bouquet and be by my side as my bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Michael is Nicole’s older brother. The two couldn't be more different from each other if they tried, and yet when they're together they act as though they're identical. It's pretty comical actually. Michael is a very outgoing, funny, and caring guy, who I'm very excited to soon have as my brother-in-law. I know Michael cares deeply about Nicole and feels very blessed to have her as a sister. Now that we've been able to live in the same city for a while, I have a feeling we'll continue to grow closer as the years go by!
Bridesmaid
Antoinette is the sister-in-law I can count on her for sound advice. As a mother herself, she makes everything look so easy. I know I can count on her to ease my nerves by standing beside me on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Clinton is Antoinette’s husband and Sebastiano’s brother-in-law, but Sebastiano considers him as the brother he never had. If you ever need a laugh, pick-me-up or want to stay up to date with current events/conspiracies - he will deliver in the form of YouTube videos (don’t worry he still thinks the earth is round... for now). Be sure to find him at bar enjoying a Molson Canadian. If you want to have a good conversation or learn a thing about combat sports he is your man! A loyal, interesting, and caring guy I'm proud to call his brother.
Groomsman
Daniel has always been considered an extension of Nicole’s family and the (second) best brother she could ask for. Naturally, Daniel and Sebastiano became close friends and we can’t imagine our big day without him. When he isn’t living his best life in Dubai, he’s travelling the world and creating memories along the way. Over the years, we’ve witnessed each other’s growth, and been there for one another through all the ups and downs. At the wedding, you'll find Daniel taking Instagram photos for anyone who asks. (Seriously, you can trust he’ll capture your best angles.)
