It all started during a lunch shift at the Green & White Cookie Site, Walker High School’s student-run store, where they first crossed paths. After that, they only saw each other one more time before life carried on as usual. Then came one Instagram DM from Sebastian to Gabryel. That one message turned into three days of constant conversation, and somewhere in between the late night conversations and getting-to-know-you questions, they both started to develop a crush on each other.
Not long after they started talking, Sebastian’s junior prom was coming up soon, and he needed a date. The timing couldn’t have been better. With less than two weeks to find a dress, Gabryel made it work and agreed to go. When the day finally arrived, we took pictures at the Pentagon Barracks downtown, went to dinner at Capital City Grill, and ended the night at Ashley Manor for the dance. At some point during the night, Sebastian asked Gabryel to slow dance to an Ed Sheeran song… which, to this day, neither of them can remember. While we were dancing, Sebastian asked Gabryel to be his girlfriend, and just like that, everything officially began.
Since that night, they've grown up side by side. They’ve watched each other graduate high school, navigate college, and step into their careers. Over the past six and a half years, they’ve experienced life together, from the highs that felt like celebrations to the challenges that pushed them to grow. They’ve learned what it means to support one another through every phase of life, from teenagers figuring things out to young adults building a future. Every step has shaped who they are today, both individually and as a couple.
On their six-year anniversary, they went ring shopping together, making sure they were on the same page about what they loved. Not long after, Sebastian began planning the proposal. He secretly coordinated with friends and family, inviting them to Gabryel’s house to celebrate afterward, all while keeping everything hidden. He told Gabryel he wanted to recreate their prom pictures at the Pentagon Barracks, the place where the original pictures were taken. With the help of Gabryel’s mom and sister, it seemed like just regular photo shoot. But in the middle of it all, Sebastian found the perfect moment, got down on one knee, and asked the question that would start their next chapter. They can't wait for everyone to be there to experience the next step in their lives.
