We're Getting Married

It was a warm summer night in June 2021, and college had let out for the summer. Sebastian was visiting his college, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with some friends for the weekend. Both Elizabeth and Sebastian had decided to go out with friends to a local college bar. They met that night, slightly unsure of each other. However, they started talking and getting to know one another more. By keeping in touch throughout the rest of the summer and reconnecting once school began, they soon realized they had a special connection and officially started dating in late August 2021. They dated throughout the rest of college, balancing school while making memories, including some of their favorite trips to Michigan, Nashville, and Indianapolis. Next came a cool spring afternoon on April 10, 2025. After dating for just over three and a half years, Sebastian took Elizabeth to Lake Katherine Nature Center, where, overlooking a waterfall, he asked Elizabeth if she would marry him. She gave a resounding yes, and their next chapter together began. Shortly after their engagement, they moved into their first apartment together in Downers Grove. Now they are ready to say “I do” in 2026!
