"Want to see a card trick?"
We met during college orientation, when Morgan's exploratory spirit met Seb's "open doors make friends" policy. Morgan walked in with a deck of cards and a Mouse-Rat T-shirt, and performed what Seb thought was one of her many card tricks — it was the only one she knew.
But it worked anyway.
A few years of laundry, studying, grabbing breakfast, and fixing Morgan's computer later, Sebastian started to grow increasingly anxious that the friendship that had gotten him through so much could someday disappear. So, with a lot of encouragement from his best friends, Thomas and Parker, he finally asked Morgan if she'd consider risking their friendship for something more serious.
In the five years since, we've graduated, traveled, moved, vacationed, steadied, and grown with each other. And done a lot more laundry.
Sebastian has had the pleasure of watching Morgan perform that same card trick dozens more times — he still has no idea how she does it.
