I like you and I love you

Sam and Kenna met one another through a mutual friend group during their time at Bob Courtway Middle School in 2005. Small awkward middle school conversations slowly turned into a strong friendship, and over the years, their bond grew stronger and stronger. While there was mutual attraction between the two during their early high school years, junior year marked the beginning of their relationship. With the help of two friends after Kenna couldn’t build up the nerve to tell Sam how she felt, Sam asked Kenna to go to junior prom and they have been happily dating ever since!

Of all the things Sam knows about Kenna, he knows nothing better than the fact that she LOVES breakfast. So, during the last few hectic weeks before winter break, he decided that they should go out for a breakfast date to @ The Corner (their favorite breakfast spot). Little did Kenna know, Sam enlisted the help of the owners of the restaurant and planned to propose during their breakfast. On November 3rd, 2017, Sam insisted on carrying a jacket even though it was uncharacteristically warm because he couldn't figure out how to bring the ring-box any other way. After some chastising about Sam's jacket, the couple made their way to the restaurant. The restaurant was more crowded than Sam had initially planned (or hoped), but the ladies at the restaurant quickly made sure that Sam and McKenna could get a table. While they waited for their pancakes, Kenna tried to make a grocery list so they could prepare for the following week, but Sam insisted that she put that away for later. Instead, Sam commented on how they have been through a lot together and that he was excited about what the future could hold for them. Then, Sam slid out of the booth, got down on one knee, and asked McKenna to marry him. Kenna was taken completely by surprise and froze for what Sam would describe as "too long", but after a few moments of silence, she said yes!

During their free time, Kenna and Sam love to spend time together in the kitchen. They are always trying out new recipes and foods, and love to host guests for potlucks and dinner parties. They are also proud cat parents to two lovely kitties, Bernice and Daphne. Sam and Kenna are known to take way too many photos of their cats and spoil them rotten with treats and toys. When Sam and Kenna are able, they love to travel! They've been to Boston, St. Louis, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C! For their honeymoon, they plan to visit the U.K.!
